Isolation Break, a co-production of the New York Writers Workshop (NYWW) and the Asia Pacific Writers and Translators (APWT), is a monthly reading series that features a global roster of critically acclaimed authors from such countries as China, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, the UK, Canada and the USA. Hosted by Pushcart Prize winning poet and memoirist Ravi Shankar, the series has hosted over 30 writers such as T.S. Eliot Prize winner George Szrites and Iranian American poet, playwright and translator Sholeh Wolpe. The series is broadcast live on Streamyard across multiple platforms and archived on YouTube where the series has amassed thousands of views. ​
